Every year in April or May, the largest relay race in the world takes place, the Batavierenrace. The race starts in Nijmegen and ends in Enschede, in the campus of the University of Twente.The total walking distance around 175 kilometers and is divided into 25 stages (16 men's and 9 women's stages). After the finish of the Batavierenrace around 6 p.m., the largest student party in the Benelux takes place. It is estimated that 13,000 students attend in various locations of the campus!
